Da Nang Fireworks Festival: where to watch

Da Nang Fireworks Festival: where to watch

4 min read

Best spots, road closures and how to get home after the show.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) runs over several nights in early summer. Teams from different countries put on shows over the Han River, and hotels and roads fill up fast.

Where to watch

  • Grandstands: ticketed seats by the river, closest to the show.
  • Bach Dang riverside: free, very crowded; arrive about two hours early.
  • Rooftop bars and riverside hotels: a calmer view, but book well ahead.

Road closures

Streets near the river close to cars from late afternoon on show nights, and taxis are hard to find when the show ends.

Getting back to your hotel

Agree on a pick-up point a few blocks from the river with your driver before the show. Walk there after the last firework and skip the queue for taxis.

Festival dates change every year, so check the official schedule before you plan your trip.
